Iya Villania admitted why she didn't like the expensive gift that she received years ago from her husband Drew Arellano.

The Kapuso star expressed her reason in the latest episode of their podcast, Life With The Arellanos.

Iya discussed how this designer item that she got as a gift from Drew made her realize that she is not into material things.

She revealed, "You know when I realized the giving of gifts or material stuff wasn't working for us? When I graduated and you gave me a Balenciaga purse -- a red one when I graduated."

Iya graduated Bachelor of Arts degree Major in Psychology in 2009.

The Eat Well, Live Well. Stay Well. season 4 host mentioned that during that time, most celebrities are seen carrying designer bags.

"I think at that time when I was in the industry, mainstream, amongst other artista who will have these Chanel bags, or whatever bags. So parang medyo na-influence ako na I think I want one too," Iya revealed.

Iya admitted to Drew, "You got me one; it actually didn't make me happy.

"I felt tuloy na... I mean I appreciated that you did out of character but I felt like it wasn't from the heart. Because it was something na I don't know, na-force ka lang."

According to Iya, when it comes to health and wellness items, the Kapuso couple appreciates them as it is useful to their lifestyle.

"That's when I realized material things isn't our thing. But we like giving random things."
