Kristoffer Martin celebrates his 19th birthday with kids from Holy Trinity Home for Children

Instead of having a lavish party, Kapuso heartthrob Kristoffer Martin chose to celebrate his birthday with kids from Holy Trinity Home for Children in Storyland, SM Fairview today, November 22.

Kristoffer was given a warm welcome by the kids as soon as he arrived. He went up on stage and gave a touching message to all the kids who came to join him in his party.

Then, the games began. For the first game, Kristoffer asked for a handful of volunteers. Together with the Kapuso actor, they danced to the beat of Gentleman. The kid that got the loudest applause received a special prize from Kristoffer, while the rest of the contestants got consolation prizes.

A new set of volunteers were called up on stage. This time, the kids were asked to dance the Cha-Cha a la Ryzza Mae Dizon, with the best dancer taking home a prize.

The third game is a party staple. Each of the kids were told to greet Kristoffer “Happy Birthday”. The one who was able to hold his breath while saying this won a prize.

After the fun games, all the kids joined Kristoffer in the middle of the hall. The Storyland mascots arrived and everyone had a blast in dancing and taking pictures.

The kids went on to sing “Happy Birthday” for Kristoffer, who was deeply moved. After blowing his birthday candles, the Kapuso star joined the kids in having a scrumptious lunch. After lunch, the kids went on to enjoy the exciting rides that Storyland had to offer.

GMANetwork.com caught up with Kristoffer after the event. We first asked him how he spent his actual birthday last November 20.

Nagsimba ako, pumunta ako sa Eastwood, as in solo flight ako nung birthday ko. ‘Yun ‘yung request ko sa parents ko.”

2013 has been a good year for Kristoffer. He has had more than a handful of projects. He has starred in GMA Telebabad series Pahiram ng Sandali, was paired with Kim Rodriguez in Kakambal ni Eliana and with Julie Anne San Jose in Kahit Nasaan Ka Man. He also won awards for his performance in the film, Oros. All these, Kristoffer has achieved before even turning 20. Now that he is 19, what is his birthday wish?

What made him decide to spend his birthday with kids from Holy Trinity Home for Children?

“Mas gusto ko talaga na charity work.
