Gideon hails from the Bicol region. His home province is in Albay.
He is a graduate of the University of Santo Tomas-Legazpi with a degree in Bachelor of Arts, Major in Political Sciences. Gideon then took up law at the Far Eastern University Institute of Law.
According to his Facebook account, he is currently a lecturer also in the same school where he took up law. Gideon is also a lawyer for the Cortina & Montes Law Office.
