Miss Universe PH Celeste Cortesi visits communities in Lanao del Norte

Miss Universe Philippines 2022 Celeste Cortesi, along with other winners of the Miss Universe Philippines 2022 pageant, are traveling around the country along with a non-government organization to provide support for children in communities in Lanao del Norte.

The Miss Universe organization Instagram account posted nine photos of Miss Universe Philippines 2022 Celeste Cortesi, along with Miss Universe Philippines Charity Pauline Amelinckx and Miss Universe Philippines first runner up Annabelle McDonnell, with members of several Lanao del Norte communities. Photos of the queens distributing relief goods were also included.

In the caption to the post, the Miss Universe organization said that the visits to the communities were in partnership with the Save the Children Philippines' Life Changer for Children program.

This is just one of the activities that Celeste has taken part in the past few months. Just last month, Celeste helped repackage relief goods to “truly kickstart the holiday season” for families that have been victims of a fire in Sampaloc, Manila. She posted three video clips and a photo on her Instagram account of her at the repacking center.

Celeste also celebrated World Mental Health Day on her Instagram account by sharing photos of her in a bathrobe and rollers and calling for kindness when it comes to mental health.

In September, Celeste posted in support of Suicide Prevention Month by holding a paper declaring “It's okay to not be okay” on posts on the social media accounts of MindNation, a “global mental health and well-being organization with a goal of happier, healthier communities.” According to MindNation, the post is meant to “create hope through words when someone is struggling” and encourages people to talk to mental health professionals when needed.
