Just in time for the weekend, Clowns Republik, owned by Eat Bulaga host Allan K., will be having its soft opening tonight, November 18 at 8 pm.

Allan K announced the soft opening on his Instagram page, letting patrons know that they will be open from tonight until their grand opening.

“Kaya welcome na po kayong tumawa at mag-enjoy sa clowns brand of entertainment. See you guys tonight,” he added.

Netizens and previous patrons of his former comedy bars offered congratulations and expressed excitement about going to his bar.

The comedian first teased his new comedy bar in October, giving a sneak peek of his new venture located in Quezon City after two years of the pandemic.

In a previous interview, Allan K opened up about the difficulties of closing down his two comedy bars, Klownz and Zirkoh when the pandemic hit, adding that it came at the time when two of his siblings passed away.

“I took them to the hospital and had them cremated. After that, the bars closed. All of the expenses arrived simultaneously,” he said in Filipino.

He mentioned that he tried to keep the businesses despite the expenses, but realized in the end that he had to let them go.

He told Reporter's Notebook that it was harder to close down a bar than to open one as employees needed separation pay and furniture needed to be stored somewhere else.

“I don't know why, but I didn't cry. It's like you're so helpless. You cannot see what you're up against. The virus is the enemy. So you just have to face the reality that you have no chance against it no matter how hard you try,” he added.

However, this is not the first time that Allan K opened a business after the pandemic as in 2021, he opened Zirkulo, a resto-bar located in Las Piñas City.
