Baby girl Renata Christianne - an early gift to TJ Trinidad this 2014

Days before we embraced 2014, Kapuso actor TJ Trinidad’s non-showbiz wife Marga Valdez gave birth to baby girl Renata Christianne. Their second child after Alonzo, who is now one year and five months old, she is definitely the Kapuso actor's early new year gift.

At the press conference of his new show, The Borrowed Wife, which is set to premiere this January, GMANetwork.com asked TJ about the new addition to his family.

“Parang I'm just overwhelmed. Alam mo 'yun, na ayaw mong umalis ng bahay. Gusto mo kasama mo sila palagi eh. Kung puwede lang 'di ba. Ganoon 'yung feeling eh. Sobrang happy,” he shared.

TJ added, he also feels anxious for his children. “Siyempre there's so many things na puwedeng mangyari so may anxiety din. Lalo na 'yung panganay kasi takbo siya ng takbo, ang gulo-gulo na niya eh. So hindi maiwasang maumpog siya, mahulog, madapa.”

According to TJ, the least that he can wish for her daughter now is to be safe like her brother Alonzo. He said that his son is manageable so far and he’s expecting the same when Renata grows up.

During the interview, we asked the Kapuso actor if there are plans for baby no. 3. TJ shared that he is contented with Alonzo and Renata, and ideally he only wants two children.

“Hindi na madaragdaragan. I think it's best na mas malapit 'yung age gap nila. You have to be able to give them talaga 'yung good opportunities. So okay na sa 'kin 'yun,” added TJ.

Without question, TJ shared that his fondest Christmas memory so far was the 2013 holidays because it’s his first with his daughter. “We just stayed home. We just enjoyed the quiet time sa house. Of course we needed to rest so doon lang kami sa bahay,” he said.

And now that TJ is now busy with his new show, The Borrowed Wife, he said he finds it hard not to be with his family all the time. “I think that's the only bad thing about having work. Kasi 'di ba, I'm so happy that I'm working but it's time away from your family, so you have to really mentally prepare yourself for that,” he added.

Before ending the interview, we asked the Kapuso actor about his wish for his kids?

“I wish that they will be healthy and will have the opportunities to live out their dreams.”

Watch out for TJ Trinidad together with Camille Pratts, Rafael Rosell, and Pauleen Luna in The Borrowed Wife, starting this January on GMA Afternoon Prime.
