Kylie Padilla on turning 30: 'I can no longer be reckless'

By Aaron Brennt Eusebio

Kapuso actress Kylie Padilla shared a snippet of a long poem she wrote as she turned 30 on January 25.

The short version of the poem reflected the realizations and lessons Kylie has learned in the past three decades of her life.

"30. I can barely admit it to myself, I can no longer be reckless, I can no longer be running on rebellious fumes," part of the poem read.

"30 and all I can hear in my head is 'take accountability' or else I'll turn into exactly what hurt me. Is that what I want? Is that the future that awaits me? Is it inevitable?

"People think the snake means I'm pertaining to someone else, another woman perhaps who plays a villain in my story.

"There is no villain, there is just me. The snake is me, shedding old overdue skin. Like I wish I could should every reckless sin.

"As old crone, a goddest burning with rage within, whatever version I live in must move on, move forward and be reborn again."

Kylie is part of the upcoming GMA Telebabad series Mga Lihim ni Urduja alongside Gabbi Garcia and Sanya Lopez.

Apart from being an actress, Kylie continues to enjoy her life as a sweet and loving mother to her kids Alas Joaquin and Axl Romeo.
