Aljur Abrenica on Kuya Germs: 'This guy is a blessing.'

Kapuso hunk Aljur Abrenica recalled his first exposure to the glam and glitter of show business was in Walang Tulugan. Surprisingly, it wasn’t as a talent but rather as an audience member.
“Second year high school po ako, nanonood ako ng Master Showman. Nasa audience ako… Sa totoo lang po, [yun] ang unang influence sa akin ng showbiz,” the actor said.
Aljur shared this during the 18th year anniversary celebration of the show.
“[Dito] ko na-discover [na gusto kong maging artista]… may camera, may nagpe-perform. May kurot eh. [Parang] may tawag,” he shared.
The young actor has indeed gone a long way from being an audience member to one of the country’s most sought after leading men. He,yet again, stars in a much anticipated teleserye.
Along with Louise delos Reyes, he leads the cast of Kambal Sirena, a GMA Telebabad show tackling the issues of family ties, settling differences and many more.
“’Yung message na gusto po namin iparating sa mga manonood is gaano man tayo ginawa ng Panginoon na magkaiba, we will always find a way na ma-complement 'yung isa’t-isa,” he said.
“Kadalasan [sa shows], laging heavy drama. Ito po, iba… We [want to] make it light and inspiring saka marami silang mapupulot na mga lessons,” he added.
The Kambal Sirena leading man also took the opportunity to thank Kuya Germs for investing his time, effort and resources in helping and developing young talents in the industry.
“This guy is a blessing… This guy has a huge heart… Kasi ‘tong ginagawa po niya is hindi po ‘to para sa pera, hindi po ‘to para sa fame, hindi po ‘to para sa sarili niya. Naiinggit ako sa kanya kasi nalaman niya na yung misyon niya sa buhay. Sana ako din,” Aljur lauded.
The Kapuso heartthrob also extended his well-wishes to Kuya Germs in this new milestone. “Patuloy ko ipagdadasal na sana… mas marami pa pong ma-inspire si Kuya Germs, mas marami pa siyang ma-discover. Kuya Germs, sana mas i-bless ka pa ni God at sana mas marami ka pang matulungan na tao,” he said.
