Rico Yan would have been 48.
Actress Claudine Barretto remembered the birthday of her ex-boyfriend, the late Rico Yan last March 14.
On her Instagram page, Claudine showed a photo of a birthday cake and wrote in the captions, “Happy happy Birthday in Heaven Ry. you will forever be missed, loved & remembered”
Sparkle heartthrob Ken Chan also left a comment on Claudine's post and greeted the late actor.
The whole showbiz industry was shocked when the news got out on March 29, 2002, that the matinee idol died while on vacation at Dos Palmas Resort in Puerto Princesa, Palawan. He was 27 years old at the time of his death.
Autopsy reports Rico suffered from cardiac arrest due to acute hemorrhagic pancreatitis.
