Melissa Gohing and Rocco Nacino

The newly married couple took their vows aboard the naval warship BRP Tarlac LD602 in Manila last January 21, 2021.

The ceremony took place at Pier 13 in South Harbor. A military chaplain officiated the intimate event.

“Since health and safety protocols were still being observed, the guests at the wedding were only limited. The newlyweds decided to let their friends watch the ceremonies through Zoom video conferencing only,” a GMANetwork.com report said.

Rocco is a member of the Philippine Navy Reserve Command and Naval Special Operations Group (NAVSOG).

Rocco graduated from his Basic Civilian Military Training in October 2019 after completing 15 sessions of training and lectures to become a fully-fledged navy reservist. He took his oath as a Petty Officer (PO) 3rd Class with the Philippine Navy in November that same year.

Sunshine Cruz and Cesar Montano

Before the animosity, Sunshine Cruz and Cesar Montano were once a married couple.

In 2008, the couple flew to Thailand to participate in the world-famous Trang Underwater Wedding Ceremony at the Pak Meng in the province of Trang.

Sunshine and Cesar went there to renew their wedding vows.

“Dapat pala, surprise niya sa akin 'yon for Valentine's. E, nakita ko sa cellphone niya. Sabi ko, ano 'to? 'Yon nga daw, magre-renew daw kami ng vows underwater. Sabi ko, 'Wow, ang sweet naman, saka how exciting!'” Sunshine told YES! magazine about the underwater ceremony.

They were first married on September 14, 2000 as the sun sets at the beachside of Manila Bay - that alone was a unique wedding setting.

The couple eventually split up. After a four-year court battle, Sunshine and Cesar's marriage was officially annulled in September 2018.

Jay Contreras and Sarah Jane Abad

In true rock star fashion, Kamikazee frontman Jay Contreras and former child actress Sarah Abad sealed their love in the most unconventional way on February 12, 2009.

Dubbed as the “Black Wedding,” the couple got married at Paco Park in Manila. The place is notorious for being a cemetery during the Spanish colonial period.

To be clear, the ceremony was conducted at the Paco Church located in the former cemetery's compound. The reception was held on the cemetery grounds.

The offbeat occasion also saw the guests and groom all clad in black outfits instead of the traditional white and bright colors associated with weddings.

The theme garnered mixed but mostly positive reactions from the public. Fans applauded the couple's boldness and sense of humor.

Sadly, Jay and Sarah announced their separation in May last year.

“Please know that Jay and I will remain good friends and loving parents to our kids. It would be a new journey for both of us. This has been heartbreaking and painful, but always praying for strength and acceptance. Thank you,” Sarah wrote in an Instagram story on May 14, 2020.

Ina Feleo and Giacomo Gervasutti

A garden is not an unusual venue for a wedding.

Actress Ina Feleo and her Italian boyfriend Giacomo Gervasutti, however, took it a notch a bit higher by staging their special day at a garden of an art gallery.

The lovely couple exchanged “I do's” at the lush and tranquil grounds of Pinto Art Museum in Antipolo on December 1, 2020.

Pinto Art Museum is an exhibition space and contemporary art museum known for its stunning architecture as well.
