Olympian Hidilyn Diaz is marking the anniversary of her gold medal win at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics with another milestone--her wedding day.
The weightlifter wrote on social media, "Today marks the first anniversary of our winning the gold medal in the Olympics for the Philippines. And today also will be a memorable day for Julius and [I], we will get married today," the 31-year-old golden girl wrote on social media.
Hidilyn made history by winning the Philippines' first Olympic gold medal on July 26, 2021 for women's weightlifting. As she broke Olympic records with Team HD coach Julius Naranjo, a year later the couple celebrated their big win with their wedding day.
The 31-year-old athlete wore a Francis Libiran wedding dress for her Baguio wedding arranged by event designer Gideon Hermosa.
