Bea Alonzo and Dominic Roque put an end to rumors and speculations as they finally confirmed their breakup.
The ex-couple posted a joint official statement on Instagram on Sunday, February 11.
Here's the full official statement:
“After much thought, consideration, and care, we have mutually decided to amicably end our
engagement. It was not an easy decision. We wanted to have more time to carefully deliberate and pray about it, but there have been many speculations, questions, and insults.
"Unfortunately, some even confirmed our break-up without our consent, and some created ridiculous stories that had no basis and were utterly false, so we felt the need to share this announcement with great sadness, for our peace of mind and our families.
"Please understand that this is an extremely painful yet united decision, and we sincerely request for everyone to kindly spare us from more cruel and very hurtful words thrown on social media.
"We kindly request to give us the privacy we need as we navigate our future lives with respect, kindness, compassion, and dignity.
Thank you for your understanding and support," wrote Bea and Dom.
Last February 6, Boy Abunda, through his GMA program Fast Talk With Boy Abunda, announced Bea and Dom's separation on national TV.

Rumors linking Bea Alonzo to Dominic Roque started when the latter posted a throwback picture with actress, which was taken in 2019. What tipped off fans and netizens though was the sweet caption he posted, which says "tila ako'y nabighani..."
When Bea turned 33 in 2020, Dominic greeted her on Instagram, posting a throwback photo of their Tokyo trip.
It seems that Bea and Dominic were eating at the same restaurant when they posted pictures in ther respective Instagram accounts. Fans and netizens speculated that they're having a sweet dinner date together.
Dominic was also with Bea when she took a vacation in the US, where they went camping and met some friends.
Since their US trip, Bea and Dominic have been sharing pictures of them together, including some of their trips in the Philippines.
Bea and Dominic officially became a couple in January 2021. However, the actress only confirmed their relationship in August 2021 in an interview on 24 Oras. According to the actress, she was not trying to hide and was just trying to be careful.
In one of her posts, Bea described Dominic as her safe haven.
Bea and Dominic also celebrated the holidays together, with each other's family, in 2021.
In January 2022, Bea posted a sweet message for Dominic, celebrating their anniversary. She wrote in the caption, "It took so much patience from you, but here we are. And I have to say, and it's one of the best decisions I've ever made."
After Dominic posted several throwback photos of him and Bea at the beach, rumors circulated that the two are already engaged. However, at the Mega Ball in June 2023, the celebrity couple denied the rumor.
A month later, the rumor came true when Dominic proposing to Bea in the middle of her photo shoot at Las Casas.
Bea and Dominic wore matching colors for this simple pre-wedding photoshoot by the beach.
"I thank God for you everyday," Bea wrote in her caption for the photoshoot.
In an interview with the press in January 2024, Dominic shared that he hopes he and Bea can focus on their wedding plans in January 2024.
Bea and Dom spent the holiday season together in Japan.
On February 1, an interview of Bea Alonzo made rounds online and sparked rumors of a breakup. During a recent brand event, Bea was asked about wedding plans, and contrary to Dominic's answer a few weeks prior, Bea said that have yet to plan for the wedding because of their busy schedules.
On February 6, in an episode of 'Fast Talk with Boy Abunda,' the TV host confirmed the breakup between Bea Alonzo and Dominic Roque.
"As we talk today, yes, hiwalay po si Dominic tsaka si Bea,” Boy said. He added that Bea has also allegedly returned her engagement ring to Dominic.
