Lovi Poe was very grateful when her loved ones came to join her at her advance birthday party prepared by talent manager Leo Dominguez on Monday, February 4.

However, it seemed that someone missed the celebration--her U.S.-based boyfriend Montgomery Blencowe.

The entertainment media who attended the event also noticed that Lovi Poe failed to mention Monty when asked about her birthday wish.

She was quick to clarify, “Of course, he is [part of my birthday wish]. But that wish has already been granted.”

Unfortunately, Monty won't be able to join her on her birthday on February 11.

Likewise, Lovi cannot go to U.S. to spend time with her boyfriend since she will be busy promoting her upcoming movie under Viva Films titled Hindi Tayo Puwede.

The Kapuso actress explained, “He's very busy now kasi with work. Since his field is very different from ours, he has to be there.

“But I'm happy with the communication that we have.”

Though miles apart, Lovi seemed unbothered by his absence since long-distance relationship works between her and her boyfriend.

She said, “I think, to be in this kind of relationship, you have to be solid about it and how you see each other. We're good and happy.”

Lovi admitted that they're long-distance relationship is not perfect, “We do have moments, of course, hindi mo naman maiiwasan to miss each other.”

But their setup helps a lot in their individual careers.

“I guess, since we both have our own careers, it gives us time to actually pursue our goals separately and together.

“So, parang ang dami naming nagagawa kapag hindi kami magkasama.

“At the same time, kapag magkasama kami, we get to support each other,” Lovi concluded.
