Yasmien Kurdi, Christian Bautista give relationship tips on how to keep showing affection to your partner

By Cherry Sun

Most of the time, we see people putting their best foot forward during courtships. While there is nothing wrong with giving so much dedication in trying to win someone, there is also the chance that the person's efforts fade once they get into a relationship or worse, after tying the knot.

In separate exclusive interviews with GMANetwork.com, Yasmien Kurdi and Christian Bautista, who are both blissfully married to their respective spouses, shared a few relationship tips to keep your partner feeling loved and happy.

1. Cook for your spouse.

Yasmien and Christian both agree: the best way to their partners' hearts is through their stomachs!

Give your loved one a taste of your affection by cooking for them. If you're not yet savvy in the kitchen, Yasmien suggests that you still get involved by preparing their meal.

She says, “Aside sa pagluluto, prepare their baon pag pupunta sila sa work.”

2. Do more house chores.

Your gesture of love need not be extravagant, too. A good way to show that you are indeed partners is by sharing in the domestic work.

Making your bed, washing the dishes, organizing your valuables are just a few ways to let your husband or wife feel some affection.

“They love that, pag 'yung asawa nagha-house chores,” Christian emphasizes.

3. Take care of your family members.

We have different concepts of a family but what matters is how we take care of them.

“Love your children or love your child dahil mahal na mahal niya rin 'yung taong 'yun,” Yasmien declares.

Meanwhile, for Christian's household, it also means looking after their furry family member.

He says, “[I should] take care of our cat Cheeto more and more.”

4. Lend a listening ear.

No advice is more golden than to really make time and give your full attention to your spouse.

Yasmien advises, “Makinig ka sa kanya, sa mga sasabihin niya dahil kailangan niya lagi ng makikinig sa kanya after a long, long day from work. “
