Are Mikael Daez and Megan Young moving to Subic for good?

By Felix Ilaya

In the latest episode of Mikael Daez and Megan Young's podcast, '#BehindRelationshipGoals,' the celebrity couple talked about the possibility of moving out of Metro Manila in exchange for the "probinsya" life.

At the start of their podcast, Mikael and Megan listed off the things they didn't like about living in Metro Manila such as the stressful bustle of the city and the never ending traffic. These cons are two of their main reasons why they want to leave because it takes such a huge toll on their physical and mental wellbeing.

In terms of finding a new place to stay outside of the city, the couple had three options for their new home. First on their list was Subic which is Megan's hometown. Even though she has been residing in Manila for a few years now, the area where she grew up still feels much like home. Plus, they have relatives and friends over there making the move easier.

"I grew up there so it's a very familiar place, I know it from the inside out. Although there are new establishments, it won't be that difficult to learn what these new establishments are.

"Basically it feels like home. Every time I visit, even if I'm just visiting friends, it just feels so comfortable. It doesn't feel alien-like to me," said Megan.

They're also considering moving to La Union for that "by the beach" lifestyle or migrating to another country entirely.

With the new normal protocols in place, Mikael and Megan's showbiz work won't be that affected as well. Whenever they have tapings for their GMA shows, one of their top priorities, they're okay with being locked in with their castmates so long as they can finish their projects in a month.

As for their brand work and podcast, they can easily do it at the comfort of their own homes.
