Alfred Vargas on his wife Yasmine: “I told myself, 'Ang bait at sobrang ganda niya. Jackpot ako dito kung magkataon.'”
After being together for more than a decade, Alfred Vargas is still head over heels in love with his wife Yasmine Espiritu as he posts their first date together in Laguna.
Alfred recalled how effortless it was for his wife to sweep him off his feet in a throwback post.
“This day thirteen years ago, we had our first date,” he began.
“I traveled almost four hours from QC and did the traditional 'akyat ng ligaw' in Amore's [Yasmine] ancestral home in Lumban, faced her family, and answered countless questions from the elders. Dumaan ako sa butas ng karayom during the whole ligaw process.”
After successfully wooing her relatives, the couple then went on a date in Caliraya, where they ate pancit, sisig, and ginataan.
He added, “Hindi siya pihikan. She will eat anything except dinuguan and balut. Hindi siya sanay coz born and raised siya in Italy. She was having a vacation at that time.
“I asked her, 'Ano favorite food mo?' She answered, 'Kahit ano basta masarap.'
“Then lalo akong na-in love sa kanya. I told myself, 'Ang bait at sobrang ganda niya, pero sobrang simple at hindi maarte. Jackpot ako dito kung magkataon.'”
From then on, Alfred didn't let go of Yasmine.
They then had three beautiful children named Alexandra, Aryana, and Alfredo.
“Time passes so fast when you're in love. It seems like it was only yesterday,” he said in the same post.
“Now, I'm the luckiest man in the universe to get to date @yasmine_vargas2307 every day for the rest of my life.”

Alfred married Filipino-Italian looker Yasmine Espiritu, born in Trento, Northern Italy, on August 16, 2010, through a civil wedding.
Seven years after, they renewed their vows at the Manila Cathedral, where their nuptials was attended to by many celebrities and politicians, including Vice President Leni Robredo, Mar Roxas, GMA's Senior VP for Entertainment Lilybeth Rasonable, Kris Aquino, Herbert Bautista, Joy Belmonte, Lolit Solis, and Dingdong Dantes, among others.
