JC Intal might have retired from basketball, but his wife, TV host Bianca Gonzalez, will continue to be his top fan along with their two lovely daughters.

Bianca wrote a touching letter on Instagram in reaction to JC's retirement from pro basketball after playing for 13 years in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA).

“I may not have been there at the start of your 20-year basketball journey, but I am so proud and honored to be by your side and the end of it,” wrote Bianca.

“I think one of the things we had in common that made us click from the start is that we knew we were role players in our chosen careers.

“It drove us both to constantly work to improve, to keep our feet on the ground, and to be good soldiers.”

Bianca commended her husband for being tireless and kind on and off the court.

“I so deeply admire your work ethic, integrity, and how mentally strong you were on days that you had a bad game, that your team had a big loss, or when you'd read nasty feedback.

“You may not know it, but you being you helped me deal with many of my toughest days.”

After announcing his retirement, JC was inundated with congratulatory messages and best wishes from fans, coaches, and fellow players.

Some even thanked JC for inspiring and guiding them in their own basketball careers.

“It makes me incredibly proud hearing so many stories of aspiring athletes who look up to you and also colleagues whose lives you've touched. You were always so genuine and kind with how you connected with them, which inspired me to do the same,” Bianca said.

In closing, Bianca promised to be supportive of her husband as he embarks on his post-basketball endeavors.

“Even though you won't be playing pro basketball anymore, I promise to be your # 1 cheerleader FOR LIFE, alongside two little cheerleaders, Lucia and Carmen. We love you so much and we are so proud of you!!!!”

JC started his basketball career with the Letran Squires in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) in high school before moving to play for the Ateneo Blue Eagles in college.

He was drafted to play in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) in 2007 by the Air21 Express.

JC played for Air21, Barangay Ginebra, San Mig Coffee, Barako Bull, and Phoenix, where he stayed for five years before his retirement.
