Benjamin Alves sends sweet message to Tom Rodriguez and Carla Abellana

Kapuso actor Benjamin Alves took to Instagram to express his well wishes for longtime couple Tom Rodriguez and Carla Abellana who are about to get married today, October 23.

Benjamin posted a photo of the happy couple and shared his recent phone conversation with Tom.

"I just got off the phone with Tom and the first thing I asked him was: are you gonna cry when you see Carla later?

"Tom said the most Tom answer: “brader kagabi palang! I can feel the jitters… Di ko na kailangan ng actor's cue [jokingly].” I told him “brother, you've had actor's cue for 7 years na!”

"Direk, ready na po si Tom. 😂," Benjamin wrote on the caption of his post.

He then expressed how happy he is for Tom and Carla to finally tie the knot.

"This union couldn't have happen to two better people. A relationship is defined by how much better you are with your partner than without - Tom and Carla is the best example of this. I've witnessed it. Carla keeps everything organized and on schedule while Tom is more fluid with the changes," he continued.

For Benjamin, the couple can be complete opposites but complement each other.

"Tom can talk about things endlessly (especially about computers, like ENDLESSLY - like a three hour drive from location to hotel on 'I Heart Davao'…. the first time I ever talked to him 😅), while Carla delivers a more focused but just as thoughtful response.

"I loved seeing this couple work on scenes but the best parts of their partnership is off camera. That's where the love really happens for these two. You can see how Carla really takes care of Tom and vice versa - I don't think I've seen this couple not share a meal together on set. They would wait for each other even if one is already allowed to eat.

"And the best couples grow together, and these two have, as we've all witnessed. Tom would often tell me how Carla literally is the girl of his dreams. And now that woman is his wife," he wrote.

Benjamin also admitted that he was a bit sad that the he couldn't make it to the couple's wedding.

"It breaks my heart I can't witness you two tie the knot but promise I'll be there when we have dinner together as you newlyweds, and for the binyags of your future children!" he promised.

Finally, he wished his friends the best as they enter a new stage in their lives.

"Congratulations to you, Tom and Carla.

"I wish brighter and sunnier days ahead. May your life be filled with roses and warm memories.

"I love you both," he ended.

Benjamin became friends with Tom and Carla after working with the two of them in primetime series I Heart Davao.

Tom and Carla are set to hold their wedding ceremony today, October 23, at the Madre de Dios Chapel in Tagaytay Midlands.
