Olympic gold medalist Hidilyn Diaz and her fiancé, Julius Naranjo, are set to tie the knot this July 26.
Hidilyn Diaz is one happy and radiant bride-to-be as she got a surprise bridal shower from her beloved family and friends.
The Olympic gold medalist took to social media to share a video of the fun celebration, which was called “Lift the MISS goodbye.”
Hidilyn also expressed her gratitude to her family, friends, and roommates, saying, “You make this day special to celebrate my bridal shower with you and I remember the time when I was broken-hearted, crazy in love with all the guys I fall with and fall on stairs.
“[I] get drunk, and drink a lot of coffee just to share with you that I felt empty, that I need someone to talk to. You were there when I'm down and when I'm happy. Thank you for being my family here in Manila and thank you for the love.
“Thank you for the surprise and I love you guys! You [witnessed] my brokenness and you [are also witnessing] my happiness with my husband-to-be Julius.”
In July, the professional weightlifter posted her breathtaking prenup photos with her fiancé, Julius Naranjo, that were taken by Mayad Studios.
The athletic couple are set to get married this July 26, exactly a year after Hidilyn's historic Olympic victory.
Julius proposed to Hidilyn in October 2021 as they were having dinner at a hotel in Pasay.
