Tom Rodriguez not looking for love right now

Actor Tom Rodriguez admits that he's currently not looking for romantic love, months after he and ex-wife Carla Abellana separated.

In an interview in a vlog posted by entertainment columnist and talent manager Ogie Diaz, Tom revealed that he's not looking for romantic love right now and is focusing on himself in the meantime.

“It's not what I'm looking for right now. Right now, gusto ko buuin 'yung sarili ko. Ine-enjoy ko 'tong - na binubuo ko yung sarili ko,” he added.

The actor admitted that he's been “through a dark night of the soul” for the past few months but with the help of his family, the kindness of strangers, and people who he had known before have helped him along to move forward.

“Kaya, sabi ko nga like I never felt I was alone throughout the whole process. Kahit gaano kahirap minsan, I'm happy,” he added.

He also expressed his hope that his journey will continue and that he'll be able to keep going toward the next chapter of his life.

Tom, however, said that he's not closing his doors to anything while he's in the U.S.

“So I'm just enjoying. Enjoying my life,” he added, saying that there are still a lot of people making him happy.

Last June, Tom revealed that he and Carla had separated and that he flew to the U.S. to be with his family. He also admitted that while it was not easy to leave the actress, he knows that it was for the best for the both of them.

Asked whether he has regained communication with Carla, the actor refrained from commenting but he expressed his wish for Carla to be moving on as well.
