Self-proclaimed geek and comedy genius Michael V officially crossed the trip to New Zealand off his list early this year. Watch his latest travel vlog here:

Any lover of the J.R.R. Tolkien series, The Lord of the Rings, would never miss a trip to New Zealand.

The country is known for its scenic sites and luscious greenery, which became the main setting for Peter Jackson's rendition of the epic fantasy drama series.

The self-proclaimed geek and comedy genius, Michael V., is not a stranger to the trilogy.

And he officially crossed the trip off his list early this year and we're so glad he brought his camera along with him so we can witness it.

Tawhai Falls, Tongariro

The Tawhai Falls in Tongariro is featured in the movie, The Two Towers, in 2002.

It's popularly called as “Gollum's Pool” taking a cue from the scene where Frodo is introduced to the treacherous Gollum for the very first time.

As opposed to how it looked in the movie, Bitoy captured the real beauty of the area.

Alexander Farm, Waikato

The Alexander Farm became the suitable location for The Lord of the Rings film series.

According to reports, Peter Jackson saw the farm through an aerial search and eventually became Tolkien's Shire.

Even though the series of films concluded years ago, the place is still visited by tourists from around the globe.

Bitoy's visit isn't complete without having some refreshments at “The Shires Rest Cafe” and got to eat inside “The Green Dragon Inn” with his whole family
