The Philippine Travel Agencies Association (PTAA) still encourages the public to attend their 27th Travel Tour Expo 2020 despite the growing concern over the 2019 Novel Coronavirus (nCoV) in the country.

PTAA president Ritchie Tuaño assures that the organization will do their best to promote a responsible and healthy environment for their highly anticipated annual travel expo.

“In the current situation that we have right now, the PTAA has deployed precautionary measures for our patrons and our exhibitors just to ensure that we are continue to be safe and we promote responsible healthy environment,” he said in a press conference held at the SMX MOA meeting room on Tuesday, February 3.

Tuaño then expounded the efforts to be undertaken by PTAA to ensure the safety of the public from the 2019-nCoV.

“Number one, precautionary measures have been put in place. We are putting mandatory body temperature check in all access points to SMX.

“Number two, we're also making available hand sanitizers in strategic locations over the exhibition halls.

“We have a medical team with an ambulance on standby for the entire duration of the Travel Tour Expo.

“So, in all this, I hope we can assure the public and our exhibitors that we have these precautionary measures in place for them to enjoy the best deals and tip off those destinations in their bucket list.”

“We are proud to say that PTAA is the organizer of the biggest travel show in the country," Tuaño said.

“We have special deals for as much as 70% off. We have exhibitors from travel agents, airlines, hotels, cruise lines.

“I think with that kind of deal, it's irresistible and it's up for grabs.”

PTAA's three-day travel expo will be held at the SMX Convention Center from February 7 to 9.

Ticket costs PhP 70.00 for general admission and PhP50.00 for senior citizens. Entrance is free for all Citi Credit Card holders. Students can also avail of free admission on the first day, February 7, when they present their school I.D. Tickets are priced on a per day basis.
