PAL flight attendants will wear PPEs designed by Edwin Tan

One industry that needs to adapt fast to the "new normal" that is gradually being shaped by the COVID-19 pandemic is the airline industry.

The virus has dealt a huge blow in the airline community, grounding flights across the globe.

And as a sign of the new normal that we all have to be accustomed to for several months, Philippine Airlines (PAL) has announced that their cabin crew will wear personal protective equipment (PPEs) designed by Edwin Tan.

In a Facebook post, Edwin shared his design inspiration for this PPEs. He said, "The detail is a subtle branding for PAL. We didn't have time to print or embroider so we came up with the idea of mimicking or reworking the 'flag' logo of PAL."

"We used a non-porous material for the PPEs. A material with substantial weight to give it a better fall than generic PPEs,"

PAL has canceled all their domestic and international flights up to April 30, 2020, in compliance with the extension of the Luzon-wide enhanced community quarantine.

Meanwhile, the country has already recorded 6,259 confirmed cases of COVID-19, while 572 persons have recovered from it.
