Kris Aquino's youngest son, Bimby recently shared insights into his family's situation concerning his mother's health.

In an interview with showbiz columnist Ogie Diaz, he revealed his initial struggle to accept his mother's health condition, admitting it took him a few years to come to terms with it and surrender to his faith in God.

"It took me a few years to really accept... and after acceptance, you learn to surrender lang," he explained.

Bimby expressed his frustration at times seeing his mom undergo challenging treatments, acknowledging his inability to change the situation but emphasizing his role in loving, supporting, and caring for her.

Letter for Kris

During the interview, he recounted an emotional moment when he gave his mom a heartfelt birthday letter, expressing gratitude for having her by his side to witness his 17th birthday.

"I wrote in the letter na, 'Mom, I know times are tough pero I'm so thankful na I had 17 years with the person I love the most." 'Di ba nga, other people, they only get to spend 10 years, five years, with the person they love the most. Eh, swerteng-swerte na ako na 17 years with my world, my universe, 'di ba? So whatever time, whatever God gives us, blessing na 'yun. Whatever time God gives me and mama," he said.

Bimby cherishes everyday moments with his mom, especially her laughter and time together.

"The feeling I have when I'm with my mom is indescribable, eh. Parang I really can't explain how much I love my mom. Parang above words na 'yan, eh," he shared.

Mom's assurance

Despite Kris's health challenges, she and their relatives assure Bimby and his brother, Josh.

"Sinasabi ni Mama, 'I will fight for you and your brother. Kasi you two are my world.' Parang what she says is na, ' Okay, it might look like I'm getting weak, getting weaker and weaker. But no, Bimb. I will always fight for you and your kuya,'" he said.

Reflecting on his mom's strength, Bimby added, "There are moments na parang naaawa ka nang sobra kay Mama. But I know that kaya 'to ni Mama. Alam ko iyon, wala lang 'to kay Mama."

In a previous Instagram post, Kris announced Bimbi would go back to Manila to focus on his studies. Despite his return to the Philippines this July, Bimbi assured he would call his mom daily to check up on her.

Kris, meanwhile, will be staying in the US to continue her treatments for her autoimmune diseases and has already taken her “baby dose” of methotrexate, a type of medicine that treats cancer, psoriasis, and rheumatoid arthritis.

Showbiz career for Bimby?

Meanwhile, there were speculations that Bimby would follow in his mom's footsteps to enter the entertainment industry. It started when he was photographed with talent manager Boy Abunda and Erickson Raymundo of Cornerstone Entertainment. Many fans, including his mom Kris Aquino's followers, are now asking, is he ready to enter showbiz?

While his mom is known for her multiple films and TV series, Bimby has also made a name for himself by starring in several films. In a previous interview, Kris mentioned how she's not holding her son back from anything he wants to do.
