Huge portion of Luzon has been suffering from incessant rains due to the effects of Habagat or the Southwest monsoon.
Yesterday was one of the worst after the weather bureau PAGASA reported that Metro Manila received 201.7 millimeters of rainfall between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Monday.
The heavy rains caused widespread flooding along major thoroughfares in Metro Manila, prompting local governments to suspend classes, while commuters navigated flooded roads and streets to reach their destinations.
