Celebrities react to Rep. Bong Suntay's remarks on Anne Curtis

Many people have shared their opinions about remarks made by Quezon City Fourth District Representative Jesus “Bong” Suntay regarding actress and It's Showtime host Anne Curtis.
The congressman's comments became controversial during a hearing of the House Committee on Justice on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, in relation to the third impeachment complaint against Vice President Sara Duterte.
Suntay said there was supposedly no sedition or political destabilization when VP Duterte stated at a gathering that she was a “designated survivor.”
According to him, it was only part of the vice president's imagination and should not be grounds for a case.
In defending the vice president, he said: “Sinabi niya lang y'on, siguro nagpapatawa lang siya.”
The politician even made an analogy, citing an incident in which he claimed to have seen Anne at a hotel.
Suntay said: “Alam mo minsan, nasa Shangri-La ako, nakita ko si Anne Curtis. Ang ganda-ganda pala niya.
"You know, may desire sa loob ko na nag-init talaga. Na-imagine ko na lang kung ano ang puwedeng mangyari.
"Pero siyempre, hanggang imagination na lang 'yon.
“Pero hindi naman siguro ako puwedeng kasuhan dahil kung ano 'yung na-imagine ko, e.”
