Dingdong Dantes faces the gritty action challenges in "The Master Cutter"

Award-winning actor and host Mr. Dingdong Dantes bravely took on the challenge of doing his action scenes in thenew GMA Prime series 'The Master Cutter.'
At its media conference organized by Netlfix earlier, May 7, Dingdong shared that he really wanted to do his own stunts for the show.
“Wala naman kasing kumplikado, so hindi namin masyado binibigyan ng highlight and diin 'yung spectacle [na] may ganito dito, tatalon ako duon. Kasi, ang talagang focus namin ay 'yung puso ng kuwento.”
Photo by: Aedrianne Acar/GMANetwork.comWhile portraying the character of Atoy, Dingdong mentioned that he encountered some challenges. Atoy is a scout ranger who decided to live a quiet life as a tailor while secretly working as a man-hunter and tracker-for-hire.
Dingdong recalled, “Yung challenging part dun ay 'yung pagpasok sa iba't ibang characters kasi, siyempre,'yung mga hitsura noon may mga clown na character, may clown na isang Cuban mafia. Meron pang isang madre nakita n'yo naman kanina.
“Physically medyo challenging siya pero, at the same time, sobrang fun niya gawin. Kasi, ito 'yung bagay na hindi ko pa nagawa kahit kailan pa [sa mga] ginagawa ko sa telebisyon. And much more na ipapalabas pa siya sa Southeast Asia through Netflix. It's something that really excites me. Yes, it is challenging but, at the same time, it's very rewarding.”
One of the highlights that viewers should watch for on 'The Master Cutter' is that they were able to showcase the beauty of Baclaran, which holds a special meaning for its director, Dominic Zapata.
“With regard dun sa isa naman mas fulfilling, wala ng mas fulfilling pa sa character ni Atoy, kapag ako ay si Atoy, The Master Cutter or the tailor. Para sa akin, it's very, very fulfilling because 'yung shop ni Atoy, Mang Delfin's Tailoring, ay situated sa Baclaran. Napakagandang community ng Baclaran kung saan kami nag-shoot. In fact, dun lumaki si Direk Dominic Zapata," he noted.
