Mario Maurer is one of the most handsome and talented actors in Thailand. He started out as a model and later on became an actor. His first film, 'The Love of Siam,' earned him five acting awards. The model-actor is also well-loved in other countries such as the Philippines. Mario rose to fame in the Philippines after his 2010 film titled 'First Love' became a hit to Pinoys.
The success of his movie in the Philippines led to a huge fan meeting later that year, an appearance in the 2011 Philippine Fashion Week, and a local film. He is also the lead star of Thailand's highest grossing film of all time, 'Pee Mak.' He is part of a group called 4+1 Channel 3 Superstar with Nadech Kugimiya, Prin Suparat, Pakorn Chatborirak and Phupoom Pongpanu.
One of his memorable roles is for the Thai drama The Blooming Treasure, where he plays Win, a young, ambitious man who thinks highly of himself because he comes from a wealthy family. Win believes that the world only revolves around himself, but things take a turn when his grandfather's dying wish asks him to work in a chrysanthemum nursery for a year so he could receive his inheritance.
