Actress Alice Dixson really has a sweet bond with her pet dog Blondie.
Blondie is an aspin who is part yellow labrador retriever.
Before she became a first-time mom at 51, Alice called Blondie her "furry daughter."
In one of her vlogs, the actress shared how her companion animal came into her life.
"Coming into the process of finding the right pet for me, we already knew that we wanted a lab (labrador retriever). 'Yung aso ko noong bata ako, I think from five to 13 years old, was also a labrador. Male siya, black labrador retriever," Alice recalled.
She also felt that a labrador's general temperament fit her lifestyle.
"Most of the labs that I've met, they're very mild-tempered, very good with children, very good with people, very calm, very loyal and very loving," she explained.
She also wanted a dog that would inspire her to lead a more active lifestyle.
"Aside from that, I wanted a dog that would bring more activity into my life kasi naging sedentary ako and I wasn't doing as much outdoor activities as I wanted to," Alice said.
An important point that she also had to consider was the living space which she will be sharing with the dog.
"Now for me, because I live in a condo, we don't have a lot of running space for the dog. Also living in the city, it's really hard to find good parks kaya naisip ko what if we get a mini lab just like my Labrador in New York?" she shared.
