Celebrity couple Andi Eigenmann and Philmar Alipayo welcomed their second child, Koa, last Sunday, January 17.
The actress announced that they were expecting their youngest child in a YouTube vlog featuring surfer Philmar's birthday in August 2020.
It came as a birthday surprise for her fiancé, who celebrated the special occasion in Siargao, away from Andi and their first child Lilo, who were in Metro Manila at the time.
“We can't wait to go back there and be complete again soon with you, me, Ellie, Lilo and our newest happy islander on the way. I am so happy to be building this family with you and I hope you consider this an amazing gift for you on your birthday,” she said in the vlog.
After months of living away from each other, Philmar left the island of Siargao to go to Manila in November 2020 to be with his family to celebrate the holidays.
They held the baby's do-it-yourself gender reveal party in the city, where Andi prepared baked cupcakes for Philmar, Lilo, and her daughter Ellie. She documented the preparations and shared them with the public through a vlog.
Just days before Christmas, Andi and Philmar ended 2020 with another significant milestone in their life as they announced their engagement.
“I never thought about how my engagement would go because quite honestly, I didn't think I'd have one,” she said in her post.
Although it is not grand, the celebrity mom said it's exactly how she wanted it to be.
“It happened the way I wanted it and so much more. Nothing grand. Unprompted, simple and oh so sincere. That's us. That's him. That is how I want the rest of my life to be,” she added.
Now, the engaged couple is beginning another chapter in their life with their island boy, Koa.
