The performance of Gilas Pilipinas in the 2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup may have been disappointing for many Pinoy basketball fans, but the whole country fully supported the national team. Aside from Jordan Clarkson, there's one player that is definitely a fan favorite and that is “Mr. Reliable” Dwight Ramos.
The Fil-American cager provided quality minutes for the Philippine team and during their last game against Asian powerhouse China last September 2, Gilas Pilipinas finally scored a win. In that match, Dwight delivered 11 points.
Dwight has always been a fan favorite, particularly with female fans. But his recent performance in this FIBA tournament has only added more to his popularity.
We can't blame the fans, really.
The guy seems to have it all: a smooth outside shot, impeccable court smarts, and showbiz good looks.
