Jirisan, or Mount Jiri to many, is known as the second-highest mountain in Korea. That's why many attempt to take on the challenge to climb the perilous mountain. And like any other mountain, hikers and travelers sometimes go missing or get into an accident.
The story of 'Jirisan' revolves around the Mount Jiri National Park rangers and how they try to save lost or wounded hikers and travelers. However, the mountain also holds a secret that they need to discover.
Iya, as a tenured ranger, is the park's top ranger and has extensive knowledge about the mountain and its paths. Despite her abilities, Iya sees the mountain as a dreadful place and has yearned to leave it, if not for her grandmother.
