Janice de Belen shared her thoughts on her daughter Kaila Estrada's love life, saying that what matters most to her as a parent is her child's happiness.

During Friday's episode of Fast Talk with Boy Abunda, the veteran actress was asked about Kaila, who has recently been linked to actor Daniel Padilla.

“I am just happy that Kaila is happy. 'Yun lang. Para sa isang parent, ang gusto mo lang ay maging masaya sila,” Janice said.

“When you see that your child is happy, anong karapatan mong makialam at gumitna doon sa happy? Basta happy ka, 'yun lang ang gusto ko,” she added.

Janice also explained why she tries not to be overly strict or intrusive when it comes to her children's personal lives, recalling her own experiences growing up.

“I always asked my parents to trust me. So nagri-ring 'yun sa ulo ko every time naiinis ako or parang, 'Tama ba 'to?'” she said.

Despite occasional concerns, Janice said she chooses to trust her children and the decisions they make.

“I have to trust my children na kaya nila, kaya nila paninindigan,” she added.

Rumors linking Kaila Estrada and Daniel have circulated since the two were spotted together on several occasions last year. More recently, Kaila shared photos from Daniel's birthday celebration, including a blurry snapshot of the pair smiling together while standing close to each other.

Daniel was previously in a long-term relationship with Kathryn Bernardo. The former couple announced their separation in November 2023 after 11 years together.
