Kylie Padilla on her viral comment about dad Robin Padilla: ' 'Di ko sinabi yun to insult him'

Kylie Padilla clarified her now-viral remark about her father, Senator Robin Padilla, and the possibility of him running for a higher position in the government.
The Sang'gre actress recently drew attention after reacting to reports that her father might run for vice president in the next elections.
"Reaksyon mo lang, tatakbo daw si Sen. Robin Padilla if sasabihan ni Duterte for vice president. Your thoughts lang as the daughter," a reporter asked.
"No reaction but aalis na 'ko ng Pilipinas. Aalis na po 'ko ng Pilipinas. 'Yun lang po ang comment," Kylie answered laughing.
"'Di, wala lang, ano lang naman. I trust in my father's judgement. 'Yun na lang," she added.
As mixed reactions surfaced online, Kylie quickly addressed the issue on her Facebook page.
"Please do not take my statement and use it against my father. I admire all the good he is doing for our country. I only made the comment out of my desire to live a calm, peaceful and quiet life. 'Di ko sinabi yun to insult him or anyone else. I love him and only wish for him to be happy and safe always," she wrote.
Kylie is Robin's daughter with his former partner, Liezl Sicangco.
Meanwhile, the Kapuso star continues to captivate viewers as she reprises her role as Amihan in GMA's superserye Encantadia Chronicles: Sang'gre. Fans were delighted to see her reunite with fellow Sang'gres from the 2016 cast.
