Lea Salonga's child Nic Chien proudly shares his transformation, revealing he underwent breast removal surgery.
In celebration of Transgender Awareness Week, Nic posted photos on Instagram showing the results of the top surgery.
"Was able to finally get top surgery last September. Been waiting to heal enough to post a nice looking picture of myself. The healing process was brutal! But worth it," he wrote.
Nic also reflected on the transformation's impact on his life, saying it brought him renewed confidence, comfort, and self-love.
"On a more serious note, it's done wonders for my gender dysphoria and overall mental health," he continued.
"Not having to wear a binder, be afraid of judgment, and being able to be shirtless has been one of the most gratifying things EVER. I'm very grateful to be able to receive gender affirming care, and I hope sharing and talking about my experiences helps show the importance of this kind of stuff."
Nic ended his message with a greeting, "Happy trans gender awareness week, everyone!"

Nic continues to be one of the inspiring young voices in the LGBTQIA+ community. He has also been receiving unwavering support from his mom, Lea Salonga, who has long expressed her pride and acceptance.
In previous interviews, Nic opened up about the emotional process of understanding his identity.
"I am still figuring it out. It took a while. A lot of crying," he shared.
He added that conversations with his parents were frequent and honest, and emphasized that they were “very accepting,” which made him feel safe to open up.
"She (Lea) just didn't want my life to be as hard as it would be," Nic said, reflecting on his mother's love and concern.
The two recently shared the stage in the Broadway musical Into the Woods, where Nic played as Jack while Lea reprised her role as The Witch.
