Lim Young-ho, Korean singer, passes away at 49

South Korean singer Lim Young-ho, who was also known by his stage name Y-Story, has died. He was 49.
The news was announced on July 15 through a post on the singer's social media account by a woman who identified herself as his longtime girlfriend.
In her message, she shared that she had been by Lim's side for many years and considered him family. Because of their long relationship, she said she took on the role of a spouse and personally oversaw his three-day funeral.
She also thanked everyone who visited, offered prayers, and sent their condolences, saying their support allowed Lim to be "sent off without feeling alone."
On Instagram, she wrote, "Hello. I am Shin Sook-kyung, Young-ho's girlfriend.
"Having spent so many years with him and considering him family, I took it upon myself to oversee his three-day funeral as his life partner.
"Thanks to the many people who came to pay their respects and shared their warmth and kindness, we were able to send Young-ho off without him feeling alone.
"He is now resting peacefully at Room 119, Niche 207, Second Memorial Hall, Jeju Yangji Park.
"To everyone who stayed by his side, offered prayers, and sent their condolences, I sincerely thank you from the bottom of my heart.
"I hope you all stay healthy and happy. I'll be in touch with everyone soon. Thank you.
She added a message for Young-ho saying, "Goodbye, my love. Until the very end, all you ever did was worry about me.
"You used to sing, 'You're my last love,' and now it has really come true, I became your last love. Thank you. In our next life, let's meet much sooner so we can love each other even more. I love you."
Lim Young-ho debuted in 2009 as Y-Story with the single, “Whisper.”
