LOOK: Dashing photos of award-winning Hallyu actor Yoo Ah-in

New York Times 2018 included multi-hyphenate Korean star Yoo Ah-in in its list of Best Actors.
This does not come as a surprise though for Ah-in first trained as a K-pop idol. He is also known for portraying dynamic characters on TV and the big screen.
Ah-in or Uhm Hong-sik in real life was born in October 1986 in Daegu, South Korea. He is the youngest of three children and has two older sisters.
He played Oh Joon-woo in the zombie apocalypse movie '#Alive' in 2020. He also starred in the Netflix series 'Hellbound' as a cult leader.
Other than the action genre shows, he starred in the 2014 hit K-drama series, 'Secret Affair' where he played the role of a talented musician who's a little clumsy in love with his teacher's wife, played by Kim Hee-ae.
Having different kinds of roles, Ah-in is just a chameleon in front of the camera, who can play a multitude of characters.
His talent has been recognized as well, both in South Korea and internationally.
In 2021, he won Best Actor in the film category for his performance in 'Voice of Silence' at the 57th Baeksang Arts Awards. The same project earned him the Best Actor trophy too in the 25th Fantasia International Film Festival.
