It's been a year since the Philippine entertainment industry bid farewell to Filipina actress and comedienne Evelyn Bontogon-Guerrero, better known as Matutina in the show business.
For generations, Matutina left a legacy of laughter and unforgettable performances as one of the country's most beloved comedy stars.
Beyond the spotlight, she was also a respected radio talent, voice artist, dubbing director, and mentor who helped shape the Philippine entertainment industry.
To her loved ones, however, she will always be remembered as a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, and friend whose kindness and generosity touched everyone who knew her.
On what would have been her 80th birthday, Matutina's family paid tribute to her with a heartfelt celebration of her life and legacy.
"Though she is no longer with us, her legacy lives on through the memories she created and the lives she inspired," her daughter, Shiela Guerrero-Marquez, shared.
