Drag Race Philippines Season 3 winner Maxie Andreison recently went on Instagram Live to break their silence and apologize after a video surfaced on social media showing them shouting at, slapping, and kicking a fan alongside several companions.

The footage drew widespread backlash from netizens, causing it to quickly go viral online.

In response to this, Maxie held a brief two-minute Instagram Live session to address the controversy.

During the broadcast, the drag queen stated that they had already apologized to the affected party, adding that both sides have forgiven each other and have already "moved on" from the incident.

Nakapagpatawaran na kami sa isa't isa and we moved on,” Maxie said.

Furthermore, Maxie expressed deep regret, wishing they had handled the situation with more wisdom, understanding, and composure.

She also admitted to their wrongdoing, openly acknowledging the mistake of physically harming another person.

Maxie also admitted that her actions were indefensible but shared that they now have people guiding them and helping correct their mistakes.

“Hindi talaga ako katanggol-tanggol that time, kasi mali talaga siya. Mali talagang manakit tayo.

The drag queen also shared that she is actively changing for the better following the poor decisions made during the incident.

She noted that she learned a lot from the experience and now has a support system guiding them and helping correct their mistakes.

“Ayoko na maulit 'yun. Tina-try ko naman magbago. After that incident, ang dami kong natutuhan, ang dami ko rin napag-aralan. Hanggang ngayon, pinapangaralan pa rin ako,” she said.

Maxie once again apologized to their viewers and followers for their past actions, particularly as the issue came to light during this June's Pride Month celebrations.

The drag queen promised and expressed hope that this would be the final time they would ever have to go on a live broadcast to apologize for any wrongdoing.

Maxie also stated that she is not asking for sympathy or defending herself in the livestream, but instead taking accountability for her mistakes.

She also apologized to the fans, whom she said were disappointed by what happened.

Maxie Andreison is the reigning champion who was crowned the winner of Drag Race Philippines Season 3.

She will also star in the stage adaptation of the award-winning 2016 Metro Manila Film Festival film Die Beautiful, alternating with Viñas Deluxe in the lead role of Trisha.
