Michael V & Lola Amour win Best Novelty Recording at the 37th AWIT Awards

Multi-awarded comedian Michael V.'s parody song “Waiting Here sa Pila” was recognized in the recently concluded 2024 Awit Awards held at The Music Museum in San Juan yesterday, December 4.
The Kapuso ace comedian created a parody version of Lola Amour's hit OPM music “Raining in Manila,” which aired in Bubble Gang back in September 2023.
On Lola Amour's official Instagram page, they congratulated Direk Michael for winning the Best Novelty Recording trophy.
“Sir @michaelbitoy, this is your award!!! Best Novelty recording for Waiting Here sa Pila. Such an honor and privilege to work with a genius like you!”
Michael V. replied to the band's message saying, “Sabi nga ni Troy and Gabriella: 'It's the start of something new…' Congrats, boys! Collab soon?”
Lola Amour also took home the following recognitions in the Awit Awards: Best Recording of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best Pop Recording.
During the second part of the 29th-anniversary episode of Bubble Gang last month, Bitoy released a new parody single “Hilaw”, which was based on Maki's viral OPM song “Dilaw.”
