It's a sad time for MNLoves and supporters as MNL48 announces the end of their activities as a group.

On Facebook, management company P.O.S. Inc. released an official statement about the girl group's conclusion.

"After extensive discussions with all relevant parties, P.O.S Inc. has made the difficult decision to conclude MNL48's activities as of the end of May 2026," the company stated.

"Throughout its activities, MNL48 has been supported by many fans, members, staff, and all those involved. However, after carefully considering the sustainability of the management structure, the future operating environment, and the various conditions necessary to continue supporting the group in a stable manner, we have come to the conclusion that it would be difficult to continue MNL48's activities going forward."

The management also apologized to fans for the outcome, saying it had done its utmost to carry the group forward but was ultimately unable to meet everyone's expectations.

The group's latest music video, "Pag‐Ibig Fortune Cookie," will serve as their final project.

"This work contains our gratitude toward all the fans who have supported us, as well as the heartfelt feelings of the members themselves. We sincerely hope you will watch and enjoy it," they wrote.

P.O.S. Inc. concluded its statement with messages of gratitude and farewell.

"To all the fans who have continuously supported MNL48, to every member who has been part of this journey, and to everyone involved with the group, we extend our deepest gratitude," they said.

"We sincerely apologize for the sudden nature of this announcement and for arriving at this difficult decision. We deeply express our heartfelt gratitude once again for all the love and support you have given to MNL48 over the years."

In addition, the company also shared a heartfelt message in the caption of its post.

"With a grateful heart, we would like to say thank you to MNL48 members and to all MNLoves.

"Maraming maraming salamat for the love, support, memories, and for being part of this journey. This chapter may be coming to an end, but everything we shared will always remain in our hearts. Thank you, MNL48. Thank you, MNLoves. Maraming maraming salamat."

MNL48 is the Philippine sister group of Japan's AKB48 franchise. The group debuted in 2018 with the Tagalog adaptation of "Aitakatta," titled "Aitakatta Gustong Makita."

The group became known for songs such as "365 Araw ng Eroplanong Papel," "Pag-ibig Fortune Cookie," "Talulot ng Sakura," and "Ikaw ang Melody."

MNL48 previously held its "Dream Beyond" concert in October 2025 at the Teatrino Promenade, Greenhills. The event marked another milestone for the group as it officially introduced its fifth-generation members.
