A new statement from K-pop group NewJeans members Hanni, Danielle, and Minji says they intend to return to Ador, suggesting the full NewJeans lineup may reunite with the label.

Their message came shortly after Ador announced only Hyein and Haerin were set to resume activities, which led fans to worry about a potential split.

The label has not yet issued an official confirmation regarding all five members.

NewJeans has been in a legal conflict with Ador since the group announced last year that they planned to leave over alleged mistreatment and manipulation—claims the label has rejected.

A South Korean court ruled last month that NewJeans' contract with Ador, set to run until 2029, remains legally binding, a decision the group has said it will challenge.

The conflict has sent shockwaves through the K-pop world, where entertainment companies traditionally maintain tight control over their artists.

Ador operates under Hybe, the country's largest music conglomerate and the company behind global acts like BTS.

In a post on X, the label announced that Hyein and Haerin chose to “respect the court's latest ruling” after engaging in “thoughtful consideration with their respective families and thorough discussions with ADOR.”

The company added, “We request the warm support from the fans and respectfully urge you to avoid engaging in unfounded speculation regarding the members.”

Not long after, Hanni, Danielle, and Minji released their own message saying they would return to Ador “after careful discussion.”

They explained that the update “was relayed late as one member is currently in Antarctica, but as ADOR is not responding at the moment, we are inevitably announcing this through a separate statement.”

“We will continue greeting you with sincere music and performances,” they said.

The full statement reads, " NewJeans members Hyein and Haerin have expressed their intention to continue their activities with ADOR.

After careful consideration with their families and thorough discussions with ADOR,
the two members have decided to respect the court's ruling and comply with the exclusive contract.

ADOR will do its utmost to ensure that Hyein and Haerin can continue their entertainment activities smoothly.

We kindly ask for the warm support of our fans and respectfully request that you refrain from any unfounded speculation regarding the members."

NewJeans debuted 2022, experienced a major rupture with ADOR in 2024 following the controversial removal of CEO Min Hee-jin, who had played a key role in guiding the group.

Afterward, the members accused the label of “mistreatment” and “deliberate miscommunications and manipulation,” and issued several demands, including Min's reinstatement.

When those demands were not granted, the group declared their intention to leave Ador, prompting the agency to file a lawsuit to prevent their departure.
