One Direction members give tribute to Liam Payne

Former members of the boy band One Direction Louis Tomlinson, Zayn Malik, Harry Styles, and Niall Horan honored and gave tribute to their fallen member Liam Payne.
On October 16, police confirmed the death of the 31-year-old English singer who lost his life after falling from the third floor of a hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
A police statement read, "Liam James Payne, composer, and guitarist, former member of the band One Direction, died today after falling from the third floor of a hotel in Palermo."
In a statement on the official One Direction Instagram account, former members Louis, Zayn, Harry, and Niall expressed their devastation at Liam's passing. At the time, the former bandmates said that they will take some time to “grieve and process the loss of our brother.”
“The memories we shared with him will be treasured forever. For now, our thoughts are with his family, his friends, and the fans who loved him alongside us. We will miss him terribly,” they wrote.
The band members eventually wrote their tributes, honoring Liam, on their respective social media accounts.

Louis Tomlinson wrote a lengthy post on his Instagram, saying how he lost a brother in Liam, someone who he looked up to every day. He then expressed how incredible of a songwriter Liam was and noted how, in his opinion, his fallen band member was the most vital part of One Direction.
Louis then addressed Liam in his message, “I feel beyond lucky to have had you in my life but I'm really struggling with the idea of saying goodbye. I'm so grateful that we got even closer since the band, speaking on the phone for hours, reminiscing about all the thousands of amazing memories we had together is a luxury I thought I'd have with you for life.”
He then expressed how he would have loved to share the stage with Liam again. Louis promised that he will be the uncle Liam's son, Bear, needs him to be.
“I wish I got chance to say goodbye and tell you one more time how much I loved you. Payno, my boy, one of my best friends, my brother, I love you mate. Sleep well,” he ended his post.
Zayn Malik also posted a lengthy message on X (former Twitter) about how he would find himself talking out loud to Liam, thinking that there are a lot more conversations they could have had.
He noted how he have lost a brother with Liam's passing, saying he would love to hug him again one last time and say goodbye to him properly.
“I will cherish all the memories I have with you in my heart forever, there [are] no words to justify or explain how I feel right now other than beyond devastated. I hope that wherever you are right now you are good and are at peace and you know how loved you are,” he said.
Zayn also thanked Liam for being the emotional support he needed during their younger years and revealed that while they would mostly butt heads because Liam was headstrong and opinionated, he “always secretly respected [him] for it.”

Meanwhile, Harry Styles expressed his devastation at the passing of Liam in an Instagram post, saying that his bandmate's greatest joy was to make other people happy, and how honored he was to be beside Liam when he did.
“Liam lived wide open, with his heart on his sleeve, he had an energy for life that was infectious. He was warm, supportive, and incredibly loving. The years we spent together will forever remain among the most cherished years of my life. I will miss him alwaays, my lovely friend,” Harry said.
He then expressed how his heart breaks for Lian's family, especially his son, Bear, and the people around the world “who knew and loved him as I did.”
