Rita Daniela clarifies management transfer

“There's always a Kapuso heart in me," Rita Daniela stated after she was introduced as the newest talent of Viva Artist Agency.
Despite transferring to a new talent management, the singer-actress remains deeply grateful to GMA Network, her home network for more than two decades.
Rita told GMANetwork.com, “Of course, that's 21 different years of my life. Wala po akong masasabing hindi maganda about GMA, most definitely with Ms. Annette [Gozon-Valdes], Ms. Joy [Marcelo], and my manager for long years na si Ms. Tracy [Garcia]. Kasi po, they helped me with a lot of things—hindi lang sa personal because they really made my dreams come into reality.
“It just so happened, di ba po, in every artist, talagang ganun na maghahanap ka ng fresh start and to grow. I have nothing bad to say, always, always grateful. Hinding-hindi na maaalis yun, forever nang nakaukit 'yun sa puso ko.”
During the media conference held on Wednesday, February 25, Rita mentioned that she was able to properly inform her former talent management, Sparkle GMA Artist Center.
She said, “They know everything, Okay naman po sa pagkakaalala ko. Okay po kami. Nakapagpaalam po ako nang maayos at na-explain ko po sa kanila kung bakit nandito ako ngayon.”
In this regard, she still considers GMA Network her home network.
“Hindi naman po [ako aalis] sa GMA because ang Viva naman po ay open naman sa lahat. I can still work po sa iba-ibang network.”
She added, “Of course, if they would still love me to do projects with them, of course, I will always say yes.”

Career highlights
For Rita, in her 20 years with GMA Network, she was able to accomplish many things that she considers highlights of her showbiz career.
First among these was winning the singing talent search show Pop Star Kids, which aired on QTV.
“Of course, yung nanalo ako [sa] Pop Star Kids. One year din po tumakbo 'yung competition. Dahil doon, talagang nagbukas ng doors for me. Yung napapanood ko lang si Ms. Regine 'tapos, nakakasama ko na sila sa stage,” Rita recalled.
She became emotional when she mentioned portraying Aubrey in the hit GMA Afternoon Prime series My Special Tatay (2018).
“She's very iconic. Mahirap siyang alisin sa puso ko,” Rita said.
“Of course, Aubrey opened a lot of doors for me. Hindi rin po biro yung nabuo namin ni Ken [Chan]. Of course, deserve din naman ma-mention yung tao kasi ibang klase yung rapport na nabuo namin, yung chemistry, the projects that we did together, and people love them. Of course, I'm very, very grateful for that.”
Although it has been a long time since it aired on television, many clips and memes are still being posted on social media featuring Rita and Ken's scenes in My Special Tatay.
According to Rita, “Masayang-masaya ako. Ang ibig sabihin po nun ay nagampanan ko nang maayos at matiwasay ang trabaho ko bilang artista at bilang aktres. Sobrang happy lang ako.
“Hindi ko po siya tinitingnan as a negative thing. You know, it's been a lot of years na ang nagdaan pero yun pa rin ang tawag sa akin, 'yun pa rin ang kilala sa akin.
“Masaya po ako dahil ang tagal na po siyang hindi napapanood, pero nananatili po sa puso nila si Aubrey. It means na she's not just a character. She really, really touched the hearts of the people na nakilala siya doon sa palabas na yun.”
In the end, Rita also mentioned as a career highlight her being part of the Sunday variety show All-Out Sundays.
“Of course, my AOS family, they will always be part of the highlights of my career. Sila yung kasama ko sa loob ng ilang taon. Every Sunday kami nagpe-perform. Hindi lang siya work, e, I really gained a lot of family and friendships there. That's very, very important for me.”
