Action hero Ruru Madrid has captivated fans and audiences with his versatile acting since his debut.
Starting with his big break in the talent reality show Protégé (2012), Ruru's career quickly gained momentum, thanks to his passion and dedication as an actor. Over the years, he has brought to life several iconic characters in various Kapuso shows, including Sherlock Jr. (2018), The Write One (2023), and Black Rider (2024).
In his pursuit of broadening his skills as an actor, Ruru also ventured into film and took on diverse roles. He portrayed a grieving teenage boy in the movie Above the Clouds (2014) and one of the hunks in the summer film G! LU (2019).
This Metro Manila Film Festival 2024, Ruru will showcase another side of his versatility in Green Bones, the official entry of GMA Pictures and GMA Public Affairs. In this inspirational drama, Ruru plays a prison guard who takes a personal interest in a particular prisoner (played by Dennis Trillo), vowing to do whatever it takes to ensure the inmate stays behind bars.
