Over the years, many sitcoms have emerged, continuously bringing joy and laughter to people even during difficult times. One example is the legendary American sitcom Friends which gives happiness for many years now to people from different walks of life despite its long end on screen.

With over 10 seasons, Friends has won six Primetime Emmy Awards and a mind-blowing 62 nominations in the prestigious competition.

Modern Family

This award-winning series talks about three unique but related families that give an honest yet hilarious take on the different challenges and troubles of life.

ABC's Modern Family features a star-studded cast like Julie Bowen, Ty Burrell, Ed O'Neill, Sofia Vergara, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Eric Stonestreet, Sarah Hyland, among others.

For its first 10 seasons, Modern Family bagged 22 Emmy Awards from its 75 nominations.

How I Met Your Mother

This American sitcom circles around the main character Ted Mosby as he narrates to his two children, Luke and Penny, about his adventures with his four best pals up until the time he met their mother. This sitcom utilized flashbacks as a storytelling device, which made it more interesting to watch.

With over nine seasons, this American sitcom received 10 Emmy Awards from 30 nominations.

Big Bang Theory

Starred by Johnny Galecki, Jim Parsons, Kaley Cuoco, Simeon Helberg, and Kunal Nayyar, the Big Bang Theory revolves around lives of physicists Leonard and Sheldon along with their two friends Howard and Raj, as well as their new neighbor Penny, who's an aspiring actress.

The 12-season run of the Big Bang Theory was a success as the show won the award for Favorite Network TV Comedy at the People's Choice Awards 2017 and bagged 10 Emmy Awards.

Brooklyn Nine-Nine

NBC's 2013 American sitcom titled Brooklyn Nine-Nine follows the lives of a diverse group of detectives of the NYPD's 99th precinct and the funny exploits of Detective Jake Peralta (Andy Samberg).

Through the years, Brooklyn Nine-Nine won two Emmy Awards for Outstanding Stunt Coordination for a comedy series or a variety program in 2014 and 2015.

The show's lead star Andy Samberg also bagged a Golden Globe Award for Best Television Actor - Musical/Comedy series in 2014.
