A night of songs
Starting May 15,
Regine Velasquez will give us a musical extravaganza that will highlight her singing prowess.

“It is going to be every Thursday after Telebabad. Ang sinasabi nga namin, it is like a break, after niyong umiyak tumawa, lumangoy sa dagat, Thursday night is a concert night,” says Regine to the press.
She invited everyone to her dream project and describes the experience as something unique.
“Kasi kapag singer ka, you always dream of having your own musical show. Ito ibinigay talaga sa akin ng GMA which made me really happy,” explains Asia’s Songbird.
She emphasized that
Songbird will bring us to a variety of musical situations giving us a different experience every week.
“Kasi matagal na panahon din naman na 'di tayo nagkakaroon ng musical show at ang exciting dito thematic siya so every week it is a different theme, we feature different artists, songwriters or genres. It is very exciting,” confirms Regine.
A successful launch
Songbird has yet to air, but its success is secured with of course Ms. Regine Velasquez as its helm and the award-winning multi-media director, Louie Ignacio calling the shots.

Also, the media’s reaction to the show’s concept was a clear indication that the musical trend is back in town. Aside from the questions, the reporters and writers made numerous suggestions for the
Songbird’s themes. Some suggested that she sings Sharon Cuneta’s hits or even invite the megastar to sing in her show.
“Magandang i-feature yan! Actually maraming pwedeng gawin kasi that’s another theme, we would really love for her to be there, sana mapaunlakan kami,” says the Songbird hopefully.
The
Songbird’s press launch ended with an invitation and a song.
“I hope bago ka matulog, unwind ng konti watch a musical show, a concert in your own living room,” invites the one and only
Songbird.
