Ahtisa Manalo

Miss Cosmo Philippines Ahtisa Manalo called for calm and cool heads on her social media.

She may not have brought home the crown, but Miss Cosmo Philippines Ahtisa Manalo is acting every bit the queen as she called on her fans and followers to spread love and focus on the positive after the Miss Cosmo International pageant.

In a Facebook post earlier this morning, Ahtisa uploaded a photo with the message that read: “Hi loves! Let's remember that everything won't always go our way. But what defines us is how we react and act. Let's focus on the positive things! Spread love only! Let's keep the spirit of women empowerment and celebrate Tata for her win!”

The Tata Ahtisa mentioned is the newly-minted Miss Cosmo International, Ketut Permata Juliastrid.

Ahtisa would bow out of the Miss Cosmo International pageant as part of the Top 10 while also winning the Cosmo People's Choice Award, which involved three levels of voting.

Ahtisa's People's Choice win came after a fierce campaign by The Miss Philippines organization, who even had a last call for votes before the voting concluded. The win guaranteed Ahtisa's placement in the Miss Cosmo International Top 10.

The organization also called for a “last push” of votes so Ahtisa could win the National Pride Award, the second stage of the Cosmo People's Choice Award. Ahtisa would go on to place second in the stage.

Ahtisa had suffered a sprained ankle during the course of the pageant, leading her to miss some activities, but the beauty queen had already wowed pageant fans with her national costume made by Filipino designer Ehrran Montoya and inspired by Mars Ravelo's superheroine, Dyesebel.

Chelsea Manalo won the Miss Universe Philippines crown, while the Miss Supranational Philippines crown was awarded to Tarah Valencia. Alexie Mae Brooks was named Miss Eco International Philippines while Cyrille Payumo was named Miss Charm Philippines.
