Why did Aiko Melendez defend Jomari Yllana from his basher?
Prima Donnas star Aiko Melendez defended her ex-partner Jomari Yllana, the father of her first-born Andre, after reading a hurtful remark on her Instagram post about them.
Aiko shared a tender moment between the two, when Jomari passed on his racing suit to his son. Jomari used the said suit when he competed in South Korea. Andre will be competing this Sunday in a car racing event.
Part of her post reads, “Pass on the Torch @andreyllana with his Dad Jomari preppin him for a race on Sunday swipe left for more pictures. Jomari used this racing suit for Korea race now its Andre's turn.
A quick check on the comment section of her post showed that a basher called Jomari a “disappointing dad.”
The versatile Kapuso actress quickly replied and said, “Uy 'wag naman… He is still the father of Andre.”
After Aiko's reply, the netizen also immediately apologized for the negative comment.
Aside from Andre, Aiko also has a daughter named Marthena from ex-beau Martin Jickain.
Prima Donnas finale
Aiko is fresh off the successful finale of the highest rating GMA afternoon drama series, Prima Donnas, which aired its last episode on February 19.

“Truly para sa inyo ang show na 'to.
“As I always do whenever I end a show that I'm part of, I take a bow and offer it to the LORD.
“Not all can shine during a pandemic but the LORD never left us… Kendra Fajardo 'Claveria' wannabe is signing off… Pero 'wag din kayo pakakasiguro hahahaha!”
