Aira Lopez is beaming with pride over her latest achievement!
Kapuso actress Aira Lopez recently celebrated a major personal milestone after competing in the prestigious Ironman World 70.3 Championship, held on September 12-13, 2026, in Nice, France.
The event is a premier international long-distance triathlon that brings together top-tier professional and age-group endurance athletes from across the globe.
Sharing her experience on social media, Aira proudly announced her performance after earning the title of “Fastest Filipina” among all national competitors, crossing the finish line with an impressive total time of 6:35:59.
“What an experience!” she reflected in her caption, adding, “Bonus: We're the Fastest Pinay.”
The Kapuso actress also celebrated her remarkable achievement in a separate Instagram post, expressing deep gratitude for the entire experience.
“The best race weekend. So happy to represent the Philippines at my first World Champs. Grateful for this experience.. and yes, we deserve a margarita! Hehe,” she wrote.
In a separate Facebook post, Aira highlighted the grueling course and shared triumphs of the Filipino contingent competing on the world stage.
“A Mediterranean swim, then a 90 km bike with 1,190 m of climbing up into the hills behind the city, the climb starting at kilometre 20 and going on for most of an hour before the descent back to the coast. Then a half marathon on the Promenade des Anglais, four laps, no shade, September heat,” the shared in her post.
The post further noted: “Eight of ours qualified for that, travelled for that, and raced it against the best age-groupers in the world. Proud of every one of you. What a season!”
Adding to the family's success, Aira's sister, Alou Lopez, also delivered an outstanding performance. Finishing with a time of 7:15:29, Alou secured her spot as the third-fastest Filipino competitor in the race.
Fans, followers, and prominent personalities flooded the comments section with warm messages of congratulations. Notable among them was renowned Kapuso broadcast journalist Kara David.
“Lakas! Congrats!!!” Kara commented.
“GRABE MAMAWWWWW!!! CONGRAAAATSSS,” one netizen posted.
“Grabe now it's not just Ph you conquer the world na go go go idol,” another added.
“Sakalam. Masayang pagbati sa tagumpay na nakamtan sa larangang ito,” wrote a fan.
Recently, Aira also took to Instagram to reflect on her experience during the Ironman race in Cebu, which served as her tune-up event before heading to Nice, France.
“My 3rd time racing in Cebu, but this one felt so different. Registered last minute for @ironman70.3lapulapu as a tune-up race for the World Championships next month. Little did I know, this would be the hardest race I've ever done,” Aira shared.
Expressing her gratitude to her supporters, she concluded her post: “Thank you, Cebu, for always showing up with the loudest crowd and the best energy. Every cheer pushed me a little closer to the finish.”
